Astros is a living meditation on the present sky, an interactive web piece that translates real-time celestial positions into a luminous, ever-changing image: astronomical data rendered alongside astrological symbols, shifting as the cosmos shifts.
Two knowledge systems meet here over the same sky. Astronomy tells you where the planet is: its position calculated from orbital mechanics, precise, quantitative, indifferent to meaning. Astrology tells you what it means: a language that has accumulated interpretive weight across millennia, culturally encoded, reading the same positions as portent and symbol. Astros refuses to resolve the tension between them. Both are rendered simultaneously, neither canceling the other. The sky becomes a surface that two incompatible codes claim at once. What appears is not a synthesis but a coexistence: the cosmos held in form by two languages that do not agree.
Drawing from live orbital data through the Hypatia astronomical library, the work renders the sky not as myth or memory but as a present condition, measured and translated in real time, and still irreducibly full of meaning.
